Well....so I have to say, in light of all the Usama being killed hoopla, it has made the men of the Special Forces look all that more appealing! Dont get me wrong I have always had a soft spot in my heart for these rugged, no named, anonymous heroes. Now, however the realness of them really sets in. Now they seem even MORE sexy, if that was even possible, and I want to devour any book with SF in it. So I went on a super secret mission in my bookshelf to find what I have already read and what some of my fave Elite Op teams are. Hope you like them. Let me know if there are some out there that are awesome and that I need to read! I know there are!

Ahhhhhhhh.....some of my first. The men of Lora Leigh's SEAL's team. These are men that know what they want and arent afraid of doing anything to get it. Strong, rugged, dangerous and completely Alpha. What could anygirl want more of??? I will admit Dangerous Games was the first of this series that I read but man....was I hooked. Clint McIntyre was the hottest thing this side of the sun as far as I was concerned. I needed more of this amazing author and team and wasnt dissapointed with any of the original SEAL teams books.

Another fave of mine....The fabulous Nina Bruhns. After the first book of this series came out I swear I stalked her for weeks to get the second book out and finally push the third out. Waiting was like pure and utter torture. Secrets abound in this series and if the first one was good...the second was better and the third....flames baby...flames. Terrorism, guns, covert ops, a fabulous plot, steaming sex...what else is there to want. Seriously Nina is a master!

Ok....so Lauren Dane. This woman is unbelievable. She is a master of suspense, romance, and plot. While the Federation Series and the Phantom Corps series are futuristic they are by far some of the best writing I have ever read. Every single one of these books are fantastic. I seriously couldnt put them down and had to read them in one sitting. Thats bad because I have to work every day during the week. Im currently in a 12 step program to recover from my addiction to these books...and low and behold another one comes out.

So that brings me to the question....'What is it that makes these men so attractive?'

Lets see.....

Face paint: what better way to start your romp in the sheets or the woods whatever trail you may be on than with a little makeup. I totally get this part. I would so kiss that man!

Camo: what is sexier than camo on a man? I dunno....nothing?

Guns: ya know, Im that kinda girl. While I like to have my "princess" moments as my DH calls them, I'm still the same girl that can shoot her own gun and has uttmost respect for those men packin around those beasts. They arent light after 8 days ruckin them around.

Secrecy: I mean, these men dont tell nobody nothin....seriously. The SEAL's that took down Usama will never be known, they will be the quiet heroes that go home to their lives and nobody will be the wiser that they killed one of the most heinous men ever. That takes something special. I have to totally respect that.

Languages: These guys speak numerous...can you say F*&^ Me in 14 different languages...mhm they can.

Night Vision Goggles: ohhhhh the things I could do with those......

As if all that werent enough....here is a little picture to add to my amazement.

The men and women of the United States Armed Forces have my uttmost and humble respect. There is no way I could do what they do. If I see them out, I tell them that. Thank you! Thank you for protecting my freedoms that I take for granted every day. Thank you for putting your life on the line so that mine can be safer. Those that have made the ultimate sacrifice I pray watch over their brothers and sisters in combat.

To the Elite of the Elite...thank you for your quite grace under pressure. Job well done!

So here we go into the absolutely crazy times known as the holidays. The time when I just want to crawl up into my heated warm bed and snuggle because its so damn stressful!

Why you say....well let me explain.

My husband and I both come from divorced families. This made Christmas WONDERFUL when I was a kid let me tell ya. Going to two sets of parents houses for christmas not to mention the grandparents too.

Now as an adult with a child...I get totally stressed. The schedule for December goes wild about mid November.

We have my husbands mothers step children (dont get confused yet)...their mother died when they were young and his mother was their mothers best friend. She married their father (a little eeeww factor there) and helped raise the girls along with another one of their mothers best friends. So the first "christmas" we have is with this woman and her husband....im really not sure why we partake in this but its for my little boys sake apparently. Who am I to say no right?

Next stop:
Work christmas parties. Now this year is especially busy because I accepted a new position. They were gracious enough to invite me to the lunch that they have so there is Two

Then there is the current division I work for...Three

Then there is the overall division that is responsible for the department....Four

There is the entity that employs us all....Five.

Next up is One of the surgeons I work for has a Candy Cane Making party that he throws for all of his friends and kids. This is a total blast and I wouldnt miss it for the world. Six

Ok...onto Christmas Eve:
This used to be held at various houses around the city but after having my son ...I decided it wasnt very Christmas-y to be running house to house for christmas eve and not even getting to visit with family. Basically you ate....then opened presents...hugs and kisses...out the door. Next house ....ate....opened presents....hugs and kisses...out the door. We celebrated like this for a few years. Then it just got to be too much.

So now my mother, and husbands father come to our house and celebrate xmas eve. Much better situation. Just feels more like christmas...visiting and celebrating with family.

Christmas day we go to husbands moms house and some very close family friends.

Usually the day after Christmas we go to my fathers house.

Then the weekend after or before christmas we got to my grandparents house.

Oy...the work.

I swear after its all over we have a house full of insanity...and I need a 12 step program for detox! Not to mention weight watchers program for the next 4 months.

Alas....someday we will not be so fortunate to have our wonderful families so I will take time to tell them this year how important they are!

So to all you and yours from my family to you....

OK OK OK...so again...forever since I blogged but hey I was a busy girl!

Went to my first Romanticon..whoooweee let me tell you the Cavemen are all they are cracked up to be and then some. I even got to wear the Boots of one of them and well...I may or may not have licked a nipple or two. Ill never tell.

Anyway...here we go.

Cherise Sinclair is a total GODDESS! Im sure I have said this before but I will continue to say it again and again and again. The woman has uber talent and seriously I want to stalk her. Im sure I scare her somedays.

Her latest novel The Starlight Rite delves into the world of Sci-Fi. DO NOT LET THIS DETER YOU! I hesitated for like all of 5 min. before reading this book and wanted to kick myself for doing so because OMG it was utterly fabulosity! The emotions that Sinclair writes just literally drag you into the novel and make you FEEL what the characters are feeling. Wonderful book. I dont know what else to say...except go by it RIGHT NOW!

Next up...Frances Stockton.
Ok where have I been because this woman writes a sex scene that sets pages on fire! Not to mention a great suspense.

Quarterback Blitz is a fantastic tale of a Cougar getting her man. And what a man he is. WOWOWOWOWO. The way he talks is so steamy its like being in a hot shower for hours. He is completely dominant but can also be a total sweetheart for the woman he is so in love with. Now to just convince her this is more than a one night stand. He also has to figure out who is behind the sabatoge of his newfound relationship and it will shock you when he finally does.

Great read! So glad I picked this one up. Im not a huge football fan but fell in love with the QB!

I had to do it! I had to change my blog background for the fourth!!! I love it though dont you! Ill be posting some books that I fell in love with shortly too but first a HUGE MONGOUS GIGANTIC SHOUT OUT TO THE MEN AND WOMEN SERVING OUR COUNTRY TO KEEP OUR FREEDOM FREE!!!! YOU ALL ROCK!!!!!

Now onto the latest fabulous reads!

Fran Lee's Nothing But Sex completely blew my panties off!!!! This is the story of a woman who thinks she isnt worthy of a younger man because her dirtbag, cheating, gambling, lying ex husband has done a number on her self esteem. Well leave it to a thirty something HOTTIE to show her that she has plenty of sex appeal and he wants to help her flaunt it.

I dont know what to say other than Fran just rocks man! I really think this is her best book since Out of Her Dreams, well its at least my second fave of hers. Knowing me though, that will change with her next release! Seriously dont let this one get away from you.

Next stop....Sandy Sullivans Wilder Series......WOWOWOWOWWOOWWOO!

Ok...I like my heroines to be strong, independent can stand on their own two feet kinda women. So when the hero comes along she doesnt just swoon as his boots. BOY OH BOY!!! Was this the story for me! The h/h in this book blew me away! I loved every stinking minute of it! Sassy comebacks, heartbreaking developments, and serious loving!!!! Ms. Sullivan had it all in this one. Now it is part of a series but no need to read the others first. Although, I know if you read this one youll want to read the others. FABULOUS work once again to Ms. Sullivan!!!

Ok kiddies...so thats it for now. Im off to take a lil nap...(planted about 100 flowers today) and then Im up to review again. Because my editor is going to hunt me down and tie me to the desk if I dont! EEEEEKKKK....im just not into her like that ya know.

Ok so wow it been like forever since I blogged...summer comes and I get so freaking busy being outdoors and all. Buuuut...I did manage to get some great reads in and Im gonna post them for ya....

First up....

Trista Ann Michaels is a goddess when it comes to Romantic Suspense. The woman can write a freaking HAWT story!!!! Slaves, left me fanning myself for at least an hour trying to cool off. Beyond the sex though is the storyline that just never quits. So much inner betrayal going on and turmoil between the hero and heroine and their families. I often wish I had the mind of this author to come up with utterly fabulous storylines like this!!! Slaves is not one but the story of two women that are both unwillingly in the sex slave trade. Lin goes to rescue her friend Keeran and Tony comes to save Lin. Tony and Lin's dynamic is like adding fuel to flame. Its so hot it just about combusted my laptop. Aiden is the man hot on the trail of Keeran She knows him very well and they both were left stunned by the passion they felt for each other when the met prior to all this. Somehow the men that love them have to find a way to rescue the two of them without being discovered as moles in the secret world. Serious intensity here! Highly recommend this read!!!

Next:

One of my all time fave authors EVER!!! Cherise Sinclair. Im a total fan girl and not ashamed to admit that she is lucky she lives so far away from the midwest because I seriously would stalk her and it would probably scare her. The woman writes some of the best BDSM/Romance EVER!!! Not to harsh, not to light, its really just right. Lean on Me is book for in the Masters of The Shadowlands series and is the story of Cullen, who if you know any of her work is the bartender at Shadowlands, and Andrea. Andrea has a history of people letting her down starting with her father who was drunk most of her childhood. She wants a Dom...but he cant be a pansy Dom. She wants a Dom that KNOWS what he is doing...or does she? When she finds Cullen is just that Dom, she might have signed up for a little more than she realized.

What I love also about Lean on Me is the fact that we get to see all of our other faves from The Shadowlands...which are all, by the way, fave reads of mine.

Number 3:

Drilled by Regina Carlysle-ok so I am not a big Cougar fan...but let me tell ya! Ms. Carlysle just hit my high note ...woooooweeee...this is one hot read! Drilled is the story of Lori and Jack. Lori is still recovering from a bitter divorce two years ago. After moving back out to her grandparents house she meets the owner of the oil drilling company that is drilling on her property. Boy does she ever meet him! Jackson is a hot, hands on, hard working man. He might be younger than her but he is done playing the field and Lori is just what this oil man is looking for. Can he convince her he is the staying kind, especially when Lori's ex husband shows up wanting a second chance? Ms Carlysle is not only one AWESOME writer, she is very much a wonderful lady! She always takes time to talk with her adoring fans and Im not the only one who says this...trust me. I have sooooo many of her books on my TBR pile that have now worked their way up to the top of my list. Awesome read!

So in a nutshell there are some books to start you out with. LOL!!!

Rocky White, MD-Rest in Peace

I wanted to write this tonight in memory of a great man. John "Rocky" White, was a surgeon in Decatur Illinois. Fate took me in the direction of a town I would have never gone to otherwise. I met Rocky when I was a younger nurse. I took a position in 2001 as a traveller there. I remember the first day I met him. He just had a presence about him. I thought to myself, this man is larger than life here, and coming from Springfield where our hospitals were large trauma centers with doctors I loved, this is saying something about him. Rocky was a forward thinker-he brought Decatur out of the dark ages and into the 21st century with surgery. He was a God with the laproscope. I remember thinking early on...what is he doing here? He is so much bigger than this small town. He was so special to me in a matter of days. I did my stent at that hospital for a year and he and I became good friends. I realize now that Decatur needed him and he was right where he belonged.

When I told him my time was up there and it was time for me to head back to my hometown he was so unhappy with the news. I remember him asking me "what if I could arrange for you to stay here" and I thought to myself...well im a little burnt out on the whole hospital thing...I asked what he had in mind and to my shock he said, "I need a nurse for my office" I thought...psh...he's just yankin my chain. There were so many other nurses that he knew for so long who would have LOVED the chance to do this. He was just that kind of man. He was charismatic, charming, caring and had that boyish dare me to smile. You could read his emotions in his eyes. A couple days later he told me to contact the woman in his office who would be hiring me. I was stunned but JUMPED at this opportunity. I remember the night I quit the hospital and he joined me and some of the other nurses that I worked with in a celebration over drinks and food...god it was such a great time.

He and I....where to start...we had our differences, but I believed in him always. He was by far not perfect and definetly not the immortal I thought. What he was though was human. His generosity knew no bounds and he took care of those that took care of him. After spending a couple of years with him and watching him to continue to grow his practice I decided it was time for me to come back home to work. I had a newborn and he and I werent seeing eye to eye on some things. I have to say that leaving him was almost like leaving a husband for another man. I cried and fretted and was sick. I know I hurt him deep down for moving on, but I also know it was for the better. We kept in contact for a while but I know he felt somewhere that I was betraying him and I understood that and still do. There hasnt been a day go by that I dont appreciate all that he did for me, and all that he taught me. I assume there never will be.

On Monday January 18th at around 6pm I got a phone call from one of the girls that still works there saying he had been killed in a plane crash.

Tonight...I can no longer deny nor hope that it wasnt him.

Rocky flew his own plane. His beechwing was gorgeous and it was something that he was so proud of. He would fly Angel Flights- taking patients who couldnt afford to get to the specialists they needed to because they couldnt afford it. He would take his time and money and use his plane to do this. This wasnt just once in a while this was quite frequent. I remember having to rearrange his schedule for this at times. I always made him check in and when he didnt call me on time I would get nervous. I remember one time he flew into an airport and had to land because of weather. He had a patient with him, a young boy, and they were not at their destination. He rented a car, drove the patient and his mother to where they needed to go, and came back and waited out the storm then flew home.

Rocky was coming home from a vacation at his home in Boca Raton, Florida when his plane went down in Alabama. He was with a woman named Lisa Mattix. Lisa and Rocky went way way back. She was his scrub tech and then he hired her on as his nurse manager of his practice. She was easy going, laughed alot and was always smiling. She had a huge heart and her life as well as his ended far too abruptly.

Many will speculate the why's of them being together and all I have to say is this. Who cares why?

He leaves behind a wife, a son, a practice, and numerous people whose lives he saved when they had very little chance for survival. Im not bragging here, if you look him up you will see this.

So I write this tonight to say goodbye to you my friend, my boss, my teacher. I know your in a better place looking down on us. I would have rather you waited to be a guardian angel, but looking back I see that you always were. I will miss you for the rest of my days and will never forget you and be thankful I was one of the lucky few to be touched by your caring grace.

To the girl who just by chance we met after finding each other on some yahoo loops. Hales is going to be the next best thing I am telling you this now. Her writing has an unbelievable flair to it and her use of the english language is something of modern day life and poetry mixed together. Hales first release is due out soon from Phaze publications "Embrace the Moment". I have read some blurbs on it and I am bouncing up and down with excitement for her characters. They are believable and freeeeeeeking hawt!!! Best wishes to a very successful career and a business that is not easy nor forgiving that you have broken into!!!

Ok so her first series was not so great in my opinion. The Shadowdwellers series will have you gripping the pages so hard your fingers will hurt. Magnus and Dae's story is by far one of the best stories I have ever read!!! He is a penance priest and built the world known as Sanctuary. It was supposed to be a safe place but he is going to find out that the corruption goes extremely deep and will cut straight through to his heart. Magnus likes control and order. When Dae comes into his life she is anything but controlable. Abused for most of her life she doesnt know kindness until Magnus shows her. He may awaken a passion in her for him but she will awaken him to life.

Excellent story!! I was fortunate enough to get to read the ARC of Sagan and Guin's story too. You wont be dissapointed in either of these!!!

Wow it has been forever since I posted...I sure havent been a good girl at keeping up with my newest and greates reads huh. Well here goes...

My first find of the evening :

Out of Her Dreams by Fran Lee-This is a great story. Ms. Lee spins a wonderful tale about David Chance, a professional wrestler thats likeness is used on the cover and as the hero of a romance novel. Much to the embarassment of the author, Samantha Hastings, who didnt even know David existed. He has every intention of suing the pants off of her, but when he meets her his feeling about suing her change...getting her pants off is still a top goal.

This book is so well written, I cant wait to read Ms. Lee's next endeavors. She will be around for a long time I presume!! Dont hesitate to pick this one up!!

And seriously b/c Tonya writes one helluva series!

This is one of the best series I have read. I mean usually book two or at least book three starts to dwindle...but not with this series. And as much whining as I do about Derek and Alicia, I still deep down think the ending was actually quite perfect and to be honest I read it like every couple days. It is the most touching ending in a book ever!

So Magical Riffs.....the story of Alicia's best friend Diana and the new Bassist of Facade. And oh....they have already met, and Diana broke his heart ten years ago...history always makes for a nice tortured hero...dontcha think? And I dont think I like anything better than a tortured hero!

So off I go to devour my new dedicated eloving book...yummmmmm yummmmmmm.

New Fave!!!

Tonya Ramagos' Rock Hard Seduction series is seriously one worth reading. This cover that I have posted is by far one of the best yet in the series...man just check out that package!!!

The series follows the band members of Facade a hard rock band, and let me tell you these are some hot men.
The first in the series Voices and Lies is about the lead singer Derek and how he is trying to get away from the life of fame for a little r & r. The heroine Alicia is completely enamored with him and imagine her shock when he shows up at her sisters famous b & b for his relaxing vaca. The story is completely steamy and totally heartwrenching, I have gone back over and over again to read the ending and just cant get enough of the emotion that runs through these two. This one is on my highly recomended read list.

Book number two is Picking Art, this one is about Suzanne and Garret the bands guitar player. Now I didnt think I would like this one near as much as the first but Garret was such a contrast to Derek that it was refreshing. Suzanne is a prim and proper lady, never heard of the band and that I think makes her even more appealing to Garret. This is truly a great romance novel with a really wonderful HEA.

Book three is Sports Beat, now this one I knew I would like! I first read blurbs on this book and discovered the others and was hooked from the minute I read the blurbs. This is Melody and Reese's story. Two very headstrong people not looking to be in a relationship at all. Melody is a very strong, proud, smart heroine with a past that is a little haunting. Her brother is a famous hockey player and is friends with Reese Torrin drummer of the band facade. Reese had never met Melody until the night they were at a game and he was sitting next to her badmouthing a play her bro made. Mel didnt take shit from anybody and let him know that. I think it was love at first snap for these two they just didnt know it. There are a lot of ups and downs in this one and I swear Tonya does justice for all of these books.

Now for book number four that I am anxiously awaiting!
Magical Riffs-This is the story of Diana. She is Alicia from book ones best friend and she has been present throughout the whole series. I was at first dissapointed when she didnt get hooked up with Reese b/c she was enamored with him in the first book. But after reading Reese's story I came to realize that Diana and Reese being great friends actually just fit. So to find out that Diana finally is going to get her HEA is wonderful. Now how does this tie into the band Facade, well let me tell you. Funny how the world works sometimes isnt it. Facade recently lost one of the bands originall members due to him having a family and not wanting to tour anymore...understandable. Looking for a new bass player, in walks James to the auditions. He is an immediate fit for the band. When Diana hears his name, emotions tear through her and suspense of all suspense as this happens in Reese's story we are left wondering what the hell happened between these two. Dammit!!!!
Thank God it comes out in like two weeks!!!! Less actually.

Now my love for Tonya goes beyond this series as the woman can write some of the steamiest sex scenes ever! She has some menage books that I think burned my ram up on my computer. Her heroes of silver springs series is another of my faves and swear the woman has met one of my all time fave bands....DISTURBED!!! God...I cant tell he enough how jealous I am of this!!! Plus and this is one of my fave things about an author. She is very easy to talk to, she emails you back and I find that refreshing.

So I would highly recommend pretty much anything she writes....

Ok so I promised my friend Lindy that I would post her product on my blog, but I wanted to wait until after I tried out some of it...hello obviously. All I can say is WOW!!! I HIGHLY recommend the Whipped Sugar Scrub, and the Whipped Body Frosting. These two products used together will leave your skin glowing! Not to mention the heavenly fragrances! I have tried a couple, Black Coconut (smells a lot like Hawiian tropic which I just love for the summer), Cherry berry and my all time fave so far...Lemon Cheesecake. OMG that Lemon Cheesecake is absolutely to die for. I seriously had to ration my usage b/c I was wanting to eat cake everytime I used the stuff.

I am a big fan of sugar scrub and I have used some of the higher end ones (I wont name names but it starts with are and ends in bon) and it leaves behind this film on your skin that you have to rewash off. Not the Whipped Sugar scrub, I have used it for about 5 days in a row now and my skin is shining...plus those hard spots, elbow, knees, ankles...look fabulosity! I mean it is summer after all! I have also used the bath whipped Cream Soap, great stuff too, and then use the sugar scrub after that the body frosting and man oh man...my legs and arms are like what the hell is going on here...I feel softer than ever! Seriously I love this stuff and plan on ordering some more products soon!

ALRIGHTY!!! I HAVE SEEN THE PURPLE LIGHT!
Rhev's book is done. Now let me say, after Lover Enshrined I was sooooo fed up with Ward. I was just done with her books. Phury was such pussy and his mate sucked too. I was pissed b/c she gave a ton ton of time to the new troika and I really didnt like and still am not too sure about JM. So when the Compendium came out I was like no way dude, not happening....well....she threw in a short story of Bella and Z and Im telling you that thing would never have sold so many copies if she hadnt. Plus another bonus was a blurb about my main man Rhev. Now for some reason, dont know what it is...but I can read a book and usually p/u whether its gonna be worth the read. Let me say, Ward had me on this one. The blurb reminded me of her earlier works.

So that being said, I have devoured Lover Avenged. Ward has redeemed herself in mine eyes. This is probably bumped up to my third fave, my first being of course Z and Bella, and my second, which is much controversial with people being V and Jane. Rhev's story was very well done. Ehlena is the effin shit! She is sooooo real, she has a real job, she has to struggle to survive and take care of an aging father and the glymera have done the family wrong. Its in your face realism from a paranormal standpoint. You can just picture yourself in her shoes. To be honest I didnt experience that with any of the others. Rhev is heartbreaking. Yes he's a pimp, drugdealer, criminal...but you know what how far would you go to take care of the only people you loved and that loved you? Hey, dont put me in that sitch cuz your gonna get the same results. Rhev makes the ultimate sacrifice as his secrets are about to go live to the public, he gives himself to that sadistic sympath princess. Man shit hits the fan too...now dont get me wrong, Ehlena is totally pissed that Rhev is what he is but hey..she gets over that eventually and goes to rescue him.

There are also alot of other story lines happening here...Wrath and Beth are featured alot and it was great to see them back in action. Wrath ends up losing his site completely. He also was going out fighting without Beth knowing and man...shit hits the fan. He also interacts with Payne...not much mind you and V still has no clue about her.

Tohr is back, he wallows around for about half the book, then Lassiter tells him Wellsie send him to save Tohr and whups, I better shape up. Which kinda irritated me. He really destroys JM in this book before he wakes up and as far as JM is concerned he is done with the "family" sitch.

Speaking of JM....well....lets just say you see the next book unfold. Like I said before im not a big fan of his, so its going to depend on the other arcs in his book and the next one coming out b/c I dont think I would buy it in H/B. He gets some serious groove time in with the females too though...not just Xhex either and not just M/F. Xhex has a long road to recover from in the next book as she was taken prisoner by Lash, and who knows what he's doing with her. JM's final thoughts on that is that he is going to find her and get her back. No Matter what.

Lash is in this one alot, as he is the new face for the Lessening society...good stuff happening with him too.

One more note...I really really like iAM and Trez. They are the quiet Moores that guard Rhev with his life. I should say quiet but extremely effective and deadly. It was great to see those two again. Hope to see much more of them iin the future.

Morgan Ashbury, not only a Wonderful author, and Im not just talking about her Magic and Love series, her books are outstanding and she is a wonderful author. Not only that but an easy person to talk to and will talk with her fans....to which I am. So...The Prince and The Single Mom, this is a great story. I was a little apprehensive at first b/c when I started reading this I thought it was going to be based on Hannah, a woman almost 50 finding a new lover...not that I mind this...but I was like well that wouldnt be what I would call a single mom..ya know. Soooo then you come to find out that Hannahs daughter is actually the single mom and she is the one who meets the Prince, that is when I fell in love with Hannah. B/c she met a reg man on vaca that was so hot, steam rolled off him. There is quite a clinker that comes to be known, Ill let you buy the book to find out. Just trust me when I say this whole series is just wonderful!!! Im sooooo glad I didnt have to wait for them to come out one by one!

brain for some seriously steamy, and good reads. Yeah, I'd hafta say she has yet to dissapoint me. So I had been tempted by this title for a while and just got to it and now that I finished im like why why do I wait to read this by Selena when I know its gonna be good? Trapped is the story of Kit a vampire mercenary who was offered to Rysen years ago as a political agreement to keep her clan safe. He didnt realize that she was in love with him from the get go. When he denied her, she got pissed and decided that was it for his ass. Years later when they meet up again Rysen is the one lusting after the gorgeous Kit. She is no fool though and he screwed her over once and can just as easily do it again. They are gonna have to overcome some serious inhibitions to come together, but the love scenes are wicked hot!!!!
Some other great titles by Selena are: Del Fantasma: Mudslide, and Del Fantasma: White Russian, and With His Mind....seriously if you see one of her titles just pick it up. She does a great plot and even better sex!

Naked Truth is about a woman whose jerk of a b/f dumps her cold and she ya know gets a little depressed and gains some weight..hey havent we all been there? So her friends, who god love em, hook her up with a vaca. Only its a vaca on an exotic island with a sexual image specialist whoa!!!! you had me at sex...when Sheri meets Kirk sparks ignite and these two have some steamy moments. But can they both admit to what they are feeling other than just the sexual healing or will they let what is blossoming between them go up in flames. Really good read!

Ahhhh...so its birthday numero 32 today...not too bad, sun is shining its about 70 degrees out and im not at work. Cant wait to go out tonight for some crab legs and cocktails...not in that exact order. Getting ready for my easter dinner after easter. Baking apple pie and ham and all the good stuff. Nothing better than having friends and family over for dinner to make you thankful for what you have. Cant wait.

I just hopped online and started checking out some of my emails and low and behold to my shock Amazon Amazon stripping erotic and GLBT titles of ratings
Hi everybody! By now, you’ve probably heard about this, but if not, a brief recap:

Today, Easter Sunday (or Palm Sunday, if you’re Orthodox) Amazon decided to remove all GLBT titles (and a LOT of erotic romance titles) from their sales rankings, effectively “hiding” them from the best seller lists. Would the fact that Erastes’ Transgressions and Alex Beecroft’s False Colors were topping some of thoses lists have anything to do with it? You tell me (and congratulations, Alex!)

In Amazon’s mind, these books don’t “deserve” to be there. They don’t “deserve” to be seen. It might offend somebody. Well, I’ll tell ya, there’s a lot of things that offend me in this world — that doesn’t mean I expect the world to make those things disappear to make me comfortable.

So on Easter Sunday, a day when possibly more than any other we should be embracing the ideals of acceptance and love, Amazon has seen fit to do this. If you, like me, DON’T feel it’s an appropriate action for Easter (or ever) for a bookseller to decide what books “deserve” to be listed as best-sellers (call me weird, I thought the books that deserved to be best-sellers were the ones that uh, uhmmm… sold the best?) there are a few things you can do:

Man...Cherise Sinclaire is fast becoming one of my fave authors!!! Dark Citadel is one of the hottest books I have read! Its even better than her first novel Club Shadowlands! I highly recommend reading the first, just b/c its so great too, but there is no need to read it prior to this one if you dont want to b/c Dark will stand alone. Master Dan is the ultimate dom and God where can I find one of those! He is a tortured soul also, which always makes for a great hero. Kari is conservative and caring, the BDSM life fascinates her but some of it really makes her shy. She is no skinny minnie either, which makes me love the book even more! Kari comes to Shadowlands with her current off and on boyfriend who is not so nice once they arrive. They end up parting ways the first night they are there and she is teamed up with Master Dan (I could only be so lucky). Master Dan lost his wife three years prior and has shut his heart down to any love at all. He blames himself for her death and nothing will change that. Or will it. Kari might be just what he needs to break out of his self loathing shell. There is such great chemistry between the two of them, and I really can identify with Kari not wanting to but wanting to give up control. Very hard thing to do with some of the requests wanted by Master Dan...just trust me on this...its a great book!!!!
Congrats out to Cherise. Now I have heard another Shadowlands book is on the way, and this one is going to be a darker one with Master Nolan! Whooo hoooo! Let the countdown begin!

First of all you can read reviews on all of the following novels at www.twolipsreviews.com - some are my reviews and some are others, but trust me we wont lead you astray!

Elle Kennedy can write one steamy novel let me tell you! This is book 2 in the series and I fully intend to go back and read book 1...didnt know it was there. Carson is a Navy SEAL and a bad boy to boot...but oh so good in the sack...funny how when the tables are turned and he wants a relationship but the heroine Holly doesnt makes for really interesting reading. Plus who doesnt love a man in uniforem. Hooahhh!

Dee Shore is an awsome writer. I stumbled upon The Finisher by accident and fell in love with the characters. Sage and Presley are so great together and this is a romance that has steam without the steam if you know what i mean. I find it rare that a story like that not only holds my attention, but hooks me into more of her work. Plus her heroine is not crack whore thin YEAH FOR THE PINUP GIRLS!!! She has set up a really great world here and to my extreme happiness she is going to continue this series with Matts story! Dee is also a really nice person to email. She responds quickly and I love it when authors take the time to talk to us fans.

Here is another of my current fave titles....this is actually quite a bit racier than the previous b/c it is full BDSM..now i wasnt too sure about this myself but man oh man with the characters in this story you will find yourself trying to get lost on the back roads of Florida looking for this "Club" check it out if you dare! The story is delish and Master Z is the stuff only your wildest dreams are made of!!
Cherise is another really awsome person. She is so polite and I have emailed her personally to tell her how much I love her stories...I was bummed that I didnt get to review them but, the girl that did really did her justice! Way to go Victoria!

And last but oh so def. not least is Kaitlin Maitland. Phoenix Rising is another one of my new faves...Connor and Jessa...Poor Jessa her low life cheating rat bastard of a husband decided he didnt want her anymore and that she would just be screwed. Aint that just like a man...well she is going to show him and Connor is just what the doc ordered. She isnt used to the kind of bar Connor owns...she is a pampered upscale princess...but she learns how to loosen up really quickly (as would I im sure) under Connors skillful hands. I emailed Kaitlin and am hoping that she will be revisiting the Phoenix soon! She emailed me back that im not the only one hoping that and that she is thinking about it....please please please...s'all im sayin!

So that is my rant for this evening and hope I did some justice for these three wonderful authors!!!

One of the people I consider a very good friend, has been through an awful year to say the least. Her father died about 6 months ago. Then on Wed. her sister took her own life. Her sister was a half sister and her mother passed on about 2 months ago. Needless to say the void in her life was significant. I will never understand the terrible emptiness that people who take their lives must feel. It must be a canyon so great to lose all hope. I just wish they could see the devestation they leave behind. The whys, if onlys and should haves...there were so many. I was devastated to see my friend so grief stricken. I thought to myself how much should one person have to take. Where is GOD now? Why is he putting her through this. If its a test of her strength it sucks...seriously.

So I just gotta ask what the fuck. And this is what for...what the hell is going on in this country, no not just this country, but Ill include Australia in this too because hey...they made the news. What is the deal with parents killing their children. HOW in the name of GOD does this happen? I mean you have poor baby Grace, baby Caylee, the little girl from Australia whose father threw her over a bridge right in front of her brothers and that poor baby lived for a few hours. Is life so hard that now they are takikng it out on their children. What could they have possibly done to deserve such a terrible life? It is unfathomable to me. I am not saying I havent had my day with my son but lord, to even think of hurting him in such a manor goes against every fiber of my being. And I have to say that I used to think people were crazy for saying they would kill for their children but seriously after I had my son...I really knew what they were talking about. I would personally destroy anyone who would hurt him like these parents hurt their own. I guess that is what it comes down to, who protects the innocent from their supposed protectors? If they dont want these babies...give them to people who would love them and cherish them. There are plenty of us out their. I have absolutely no trouble concieving another child if I want to but the point is one is enough for me. But I swear if somebody said they were going to hurt their child if they didnt get away from them, I would open my doors to as many as possible and I know people just like me who would do the same.

So that is my rant tonight. I just dont get it is all.

So I was on Shelfari, and I was asked to be a friend of Keta Diablo of course I accepted cuz hullo she has an awsome list...and she recommended this one to me! Let me just tell you this is a great read.
Ethan Gray is a time traveling Dog Soldier of the Cheyenne. He is sent back in time at various points to try to save as many of his "people" as he can. This trip sends him straight to his destiny...by the name of Francesca Duvall (btw...I am just loving that name it just like rolls off your tongue). So Cesca is living in the Colorado Territory with her father and bro, they are mining for gold...ya know..like most of the white folk that were in that area in the 1800's. The mine camp is attacked by the Dog Soldiers and she is captured by Meko aka Ethan Gray. Woohooo...I am telling you what, I read this book all night and into the next day.
There was conflict after conflict. Cesca is one of my FAVORITE heroines....and let me tell you why, she is STRONG!!!! She isnt afraid of what may happen to her and she is willing to risk everything to help her brother escape his terrible captor. She is willing to take risks to find Meko at the end, she isnt afraid of what befalls her, only wanting safety for others. I guess its like me...thats why I like strong heroines. Maybe thats why Im a nurse, always looking out for others first...oh whoops thats another rant. Ok back to Rain. So like I said, so much conflict...I was laughing, crying and rooting for the h/h the whole time.
I think there is something to be said for a book that makes your heart stop, hurt, and really feel what the characters are feeling.
So the other thing I love about this book is this...K. Celeste Bryan...is totally divine. She responds ever so graciously to her emails and personally has been involved with my reading this novel. I am such a book whore...I totally will pimp this book out to everyone I know. It really speaks volumes about the author when they are willing to take the time to talk to you and help you break into the group of romance writers.
So my hat is off to you K. Bryan, the Divine. Thank you for all your help!~

Vamps are forever

Ok so this book I picked up on a Im gonna give Sands one more chance try. I read her book accidental vampire, and it was the slowest most painful book to try and get through. Honestly I just finally flipped to the back of the book to see if somebody eventually got their HEA...
N E Way...somebody on another authors blogpost told me to try another one of her stories that they are better than that one.
So I did...well....this book was much much better paced...it really moved alot quicker. Her heroine was really pretty good, except for the part where she lost all my respect...we will get to that. Thomas the hero is putting on this front for his family cuz he is a music composer and that just isnt manly enough ( I have to say that when I read this I was like huh)and he talks to certain ones in the context of "dude, and yo". I am a BIG alpha male type girl, and that just isnt impressive. So...on with the story. Inez is this big VP at Argeneau Enterprises in the european division, which she has worked her butt off for, she is strong, agressive and pretty smart obviously. So she is supposed to help Thomas look for his Aunt who has dissapeared and low and behold Inez is sposed to help...ends up thinking he is totally hot blah blah blah...ok so now for my gripes...Thomas is all into romance. He draws her a bubble bath, orders her room service , really throughout the whole book he is romancing her and that is all good except that it kinda gets old after a while. She starts to like him and they end up getting caught up in some fight where Thomas gets stabbed. Now for my ultimate gripe. So Thomas gets stabbed, yet gets Inez back safetly to their hotel, and she realized that the knife is still in his back. Oh and that he is losing a ton of blood...so what does she do...she pussyfoots around for what seems like forever debating on whether or not she can stomach pulling this knife out. Hullo! He just saved your worthless ass. Gimmee a break! After much deliberation she finally pulls it out, oh thats after she goes and gets some towels to staunch the bleeding. Whatever. I totally wanted to throw the book at this point. So just to piss me off even further, after some of the bleeding gets stopped she throws some bags of blood down for him to feed off when he wakes (if he wakes) and she goes out on her own. Ok Ok Ok...this lady is supposed to be a VP of a huge corporation and she cant think to stay to see if dude is going to live. WTF!!!! How f-ing hard could it be to pull a knife out of a mans back, you know the hottest guy you ever saw and one you know is supposed to be your lifemate. Again WTF!!! I just couldnt go further that day. Had to put it down. When I picked it back up ole stupid went and got herself some memories erased by another bad vamp cuz she was out without Thomas and then Thomas totally saps out on us. Needless to say I am done with this book. So irritating. I hate wasting my time!

Anxiously awaiting this one...then Rhevenge story!! Total addict to JR Wards writing!

Ok ...got it...read it...LOVED IT!!! Now I have to say that I am NOT one of the crazed "cellies" yeah I susbscribe to the msg board but that is just to get the skinny on new and upcoming things. I was a little worried about the direction that Ward was going, and to be honest I was waiting to see how the novella in this book played out to decide whether I wanted to go on reading her books...well let me just say my faith has been restored! She really explains alot in this book. It also finishes some of the characters and explains them much better than their own books. IE: V and Jane. Although I loved the book, some didnt...great little addition to them in the novella. I am so looking forward to Rhevs story now. I did think the "old language" pictures were stupid. I mean come on. The interviews were interesting and she gave some good pointers for those writers trying to break into the market. I am glad I purchased it.
